DVR Time Rule

Hello, I just signed up yesterday and I am finding creating rules is not a simple task as it should be. I was using Plex DVR before I signed up for this and creating what I needed was simple, nothing like this at all and I am not finding any user guide for creating rules any place on the get channels.com website.

I am trying to create a rule to only record a show on Friday at 11pm and there is no direction on this also also my time is showing in military time for some reason and when I see screen shots of others who posted rules in the forum theirs is not in military time.

Is there any place to look for directions on creating rules besides searching this forum because I it is a bit much to have to do all these searches just to get directions on how to create all of the different types of rules

Channels DVR recording is not optimied for time based recording at the moment. 99% of customers are recording airings of programs they find in search or creating passes to record all of the episodes of a certain show.

What you’re using, while not very user friendly, is the advanced pass option and it’s the correct way to do time specific recording at the moment.

And, yes, they know they’re lacking a User’s Guide/Manual. They’ve been too busy writing software to create documentation. So, in the interim, there is us

(It has been my personal experience, after many years writing software and, subsequently, running networks, that, regardless of the quality of the documentation, people will ask how to do stuff, anyway.)

@Gail1202 You should be able to put “Friday 11pm” in that box and click add, then the “12 airings” link below will change to a smaller number and you can click it to see what would be recorded.
