DVR won't add HdHomerun as source

I can watch live channels on Apple TV, iOS devices, but don't get the option to record. DVR only acknowledges my TV Everywhere channels. I've scanned and tried to add manually by IP, but it will not add HdHomerun Duo OTA as source.

Guide data has to be assigned to the HDHR on the DVR web UI

Can you point me to directions on how to do that?

Go to the server web ui > settings > scroll down to basic setup > click on the gear next to the hdhr source > add guide data zip code

How are the DVR and your HDHR connected to your network?

Are they on the same subnet? Do their IPs have the same part in the beginning? Are they both wired? To the same switch or router?

It never appeared there, so no settings gear or option to set zip code.

For reasons, I can’t wire to router connected to switch. Have an  Express extending network with wire to HDHR. Original configuration was iMac connected to Wi-Fi as DVR IP address 198.162.1.106 HDHR 198.162.1.107 could watch local channels but not record. Plugged iMac and HDHR into Express. iMac now 198.162.1.111 HDHR 198.162.2.2. Shows as source and can record, but can not watch live. Says tuner not found!?!

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I think the first configuration is probably better, so everything is on the same subnet. I don't really understand how you ended up with 1.111 and 2.2 in the setup setup.

Really its best if they're all hardwired on the main network.

I haven't used an airport express in almost a decade and I'm surprised it even works for you. Aren't those things 802.11n?
