E+TV recordings don't show up in the recordings section until you watch them

I've got the E+ docker installed to get Fox college football and NFL recordings. That works great but when they actually record you don't see them in recordings until you watch them from the schedule (in progress). You have to go into the schedule and watch them and then they show up in recordings.

Running latest ATV beta.

Diagnostics sent, the UCF at TCU game scheduled to record did not show up until I watched it.

Bump, this isn't hard to recreate - add the E+ docker container with Fox credentials, schedule a Fox event, try to watch it while it's recording and you'll immediately see that it doesn't show up in recordings until you try to watch it from the schedule.

If you don't watch it while it's recording it never shows up iirc.

I'm sure that this is an E+ issue but it's also a Channels issue, fight! Lol.

I don’t see this but I use linear for fox channels and don’t use eplus guide data for them. I assign by setting provider to my Hulu guide data (x-m3u) in the drop down. Then pencil them in under manage lineup. I also don’t see this when I record my non linear local fox channel from eplus that uses eplus guide data.

I guess I'll try using linear channels to see if that fixes it, but from what I saw in his readme not all fox events are linear.

This is true. How are you initiating the record? From the guide long pressing? From the quick guide while watching? A pass? On now? Ect?

If I initiate from the guide it takes about 20-30 sec for the thumb nail to appear in my recently recorded section. Whether I tune to the channel or not while it’s recording.

I schedule all of them from the guide with the ATV client. I'm running the ATV beta and the latest stable version of the DVR.

I don't think any of them show up in recordings until I watch them in progress from the schedule.

Ok I was able to reproduce this. I wasn’t experiencing this until I enabled the “Recodings” tab in the sidebar. I disabled that tab again and the problem remains.

Putting the app in the background and bringing the app back up will allow the recording to show up again.

I have submitted diagnostics from the app, hopefully the devs will see what changed from it working properly to not working after enabling the recording tab in the beta app. @maddox

Thanks, as Jon has mentioned before I have to be as thorough as possible when describing an issue, and I didn't even think about how the sidebar was set up.

It's unclear why this behavior would be exclusive to recording from a single source, as theres nothing differentiating recordings like that in the system. A recording is a recording, the system doesn't care where it comes from.

Are there any other details you could provide that might give insight into how these recordings might be different?

No, sorry. As mentioned I just record them manually from the guide from the E+ channels. The only thing I could suggest would be to do what Rice was saying and add recordings section to the sidebar and then set up a recording from E+. E+ is the only source that I've seen this issue with.

Any updates on this?
