Easiest way to scan the guide and record stuff?

Hmm,
I have the channels app on my Mac. It shows me a nice guide, but doesn't seem to let me select things to record? Am I missing something?

If I use the channels web interface, guide view, to say scan through the next few days I need to tediously select say "tomorrow" "6pm" to see that time span, and "tomorrow" "midnight" to see the next time span. No "next" button, no scrolling through the future. Again perhaps I'm missing something?
Thanks!

You probably didn't assign guide data to the tuner on your dvr web UI under sources

Since you're using the web interface already check out the "Live TV", "On Later" option. I use it to find new stuff to record and find it pretty helpful.

Fred

Hey "On Later" is pretty slick, thanks for pointing it out.

Hmm, I seem to have guide data, just not very much. How often should I need to tell it to "reload guide data"? I assume that's the solution here?

No reload guide won't help. On the web you have to use the drop-down to change the time or date.

But you can use the app and it should let you record. If that's not working restart the app

Hmm, restarted it. Running on my Mac, connected (I believe) to my Channels server (another Mac).
Shows me the channel guide. Clicking on a show just gives me details, no record option for example.
Right clicking gives me a "manage channel" option.

It's not connected to your DVR.

Settings > Channels Logo > At Home > IP of your DVR

Ah that did it, thanks!
