Why does the Edit Commercials option not appear under the action menu on some recordings in my library?

Because they're still recording?

Because Channels is still running the commercial detection process?

Because you turned off "Detect Commercials" under Show Options?

The option shows on some recordings not other.

That aren't still recording.

I doubt it as these as old recordings not new.

Detect commercial is turned on.

Did comskip find any commercials in the recordings?
Or is it using the new smart commercial detection instead of comskip?

With v2021.12.22.0148 we are testing a new smarter commercial detector, which works on some streaming channels. Instead of using comskip to scan video, this new detector uses a more traditional approach similar to how Pi-hole works. "Redetect Commercials" will run comskip "Regenerate Video Index" will run the smart detector again, but it only works on recordings made with the new prereleases.
