Is there a way to manually override what group/filter a channel belongs to? eg. If i would like to have a channel move from "HD" to "Sports"
The "Sports" "Movie" "Kids", etc. filters in the guide are not specific to a channel. Rather, those filters will only show the channels that have something in that genre playing at the moment. The only consistent (and channel-specific) filters are the HD, SD, and Favorite.
(For example, if TNT were airing a movie right now, it would should up if I filtered by movie. But, in 3 hours, if it were then to be airing a sporting event, then the channel would appear under the Sports filter, but not the Movie filter.)
