When I make a recording and want to keep it, we can lock it. That's great. But also would like to edit the meta data for that recording, or at least have a notes section where can display a text description of what was recorded. Lots of times the EPG meta data is completely wrong.
Movie or Episode?
You can edit metadata on either one.
You just can't change a Show name on an episode.
For an episode it's under

For a Movie it's under Manage
Does that mean I have to use my linked laptop to get into my stand alone server to edit it? There is nothing built into the ANDROID CLIENT to do this?
Correct. You need to use the server.
Metadata cannot be edited from a client.
Have been trying it out. Editing meta data works fine. Though wish there was a way to change from a false flag or SERIES to a MOVIE as some saved events get the wrong listing for some reason.
That's a common issue with FAST sources like Pluto that don't categorize a Movie as a Movie in their guide data. GIGO (Garbage In - Garbage Out). Try to record from sources using gracenote guide data, or move the recording to your movie imports directory and import it.
