(edit: Now Resolved) After Windows 11 Update - Several Channels No Longer Available

Running latest pre release 2022.02.03.2057

I relented & installed the Windows 11 Update.

There are now 3 channels I had access to previously (through my Frontier Communications account) that are now greyed out:

Channel #6113 Discovery Life
403: Not permitted to watch. (access.denied.missingpackage)
Channel #6126 Freeform
notAuthorized: You are not authorized to view this content.
Channel #6127 FreeformP
notAuthorized: You are not authorized to view this content.

I've removed Frontier as a source then re-added it. Edit/rescan hasn't resolved the issue.

Is dvrserver on latest prerelease?

I'm running stable 2022.01.13.2139

Yes you will have to in order to fix at least some of those.

Pre-release update 2022.02.03.2057 resolved "Playback Failed" issues I was having for

  • AMC 6086
  • BBC 6087
  • IFC 6088
  • Sundance 6085
  • Travel 6106

For discovery missing package try the following:

View from web using your tve credentials
Renter your tve password on the tve source on dvr server.
On manage lineup go to edit then select rescan on the channels giving you the missing package error.

(Step 1 may not be necessary)

But I'll renter TVE password on TVE source on server.

it appears Freeform is no longer supported with Frontier Communications credentials.

That answers that question. Now to figure out the Discovery Life issue.

If you had it before the windows 11 update I’m sure you still have it in your package. This error happens sometimes with discovery’s. Keep trying step 1. over the next day or two and I think they will come back. Just to make sure your chrome is up to date, in the dvr web choose settings, support, troubleshooting. That will check to make sure everything is good. If all is green try this over the next couple of days:

  1. Open chrome with incognito tab and log and watch https://www.sciencechannel.com/channel/discovery-life
  2. Open a new tab and Update password with current login in the dvr settings
  3. Rescan missing discovery’s individually

If you can’t login and watch on that website it will always fail to rescan. Keep trying step one until it succeeds before moving to step 2.
