Enrich M3U Sources

I've just bought Channels and it works great for my needs. However I have a source which uses an m3u playlist with an xmltv format EPF and the EPG lacks quite a lot - for example cast, categories and posters.

I'm wondering if there's a way to enrich EPG data with channel's own metadata sources?

If you remove the XMLTV file then you can map to internal EPG

Add Stream link manager and possibilities are endless.

Can you elaborate a bit on that?

I have read a bit through the docs and from what I gather it's more focussed on the program or movie level i.e. generate a stream for a provider.

I've just spun this up in a container and I see none of my existing channels.

Playlist manager is going to be yoru best option.
Setup the channels in the software and then you can add it to channels.
The process takes a bit of work but once completed, it works smoothly with channels.

If you don’t want to try Stream Link Mgr, you can just go Manage Lineup and find the corresponding channel with the built in rich metadata.

I would recommend SLM though to feed Channels as Channels gets confused if your M3U source changes channel #s.
