EPG for ATSC 3.0 channels

My city just turned on ATSC 3.0 for a few channels. Because the 1.0 signals are still broadcasting, the 3.0 channels get assigned to a different virtual channel (at least that's what my HDHR picked up). For example WNET is 13.1 on ATSC 1.0 and 113.1 on ATSC 3.0. I can play the 3.0 channel in the app just fine as it is not encrypted, but the app cannot map the correct EPG to it. Is there anyway to manually map the EPG for a specific channel for this use case?

I don't have any problems getting an EPG for my 3.0 channels in New Orleans (the last one that hasn't been encrypted)

You have to map them to the regular Channels. Below ae mine ...

Are you using Channels DVR or Channels for HDHomeRun?

If the latter, does it show guide data in the HDHomeRun app.

I'm using Channels for HDHomeRun. HDHR app also doesn't recognize these channels.

Email support@silicondust.com with your HDHR device ID

Emailed them and they immediately updated it. EPG shows up correctly in both HDHR and Channels.

Having the same issue, but the Guide does show up in HDHomeRun app for the new 3.0 stations. Just not in Channels. Is it just timing?

You're using a DVR server so you need to fix it there. You can use Sync Lineup or go into Manage Lineup and set the mappings there.

Have tried that, but the stations do not show up Guide data. There are no 100 level channels available to map to (ex: WNBC 104.1)

You have to map it to 4.1 The regular ATSC 1.0 Stations they will contain the same guide data.

So there is no way to receive Guide data to mirror what is in HDHR?

I know I can map to the 1.0 Stations but that wasn't the question. Sorry if not clear.

Channels uses the same guide service as hdhr, so yes it’s mirrored when you map it to the atsc1 channel.

????????? Find your atsc3 channels under hdhr source> manage lineup > hit the plus button > map it. This is how you mirror it to hdhr guide.

I think you read over the answer, Sync Lineup. In the DVR web UI it's called Sync Station Mapping

Thanks yeah tried that but no joy. Not a big deal. Most are still unwatchable anyway with DRM.

If they are DRM I do not think Channels DVR will show those Channels. Channels will show the none DRM ones.

I think SD just maps the 100 channels to their non-100 counterpart, there is no separate guide for 3.0 channels. So there's no difference for you to do that mapping yourself in DVR.
