im trying to use eplustv but when i install it only some of the channels can be used because it saids i need linear tv, i have ubuntu so i just installed by running the docker command after installing docker engine, i dont know much about this because im new at this what command can i run to enable linear mode? thanks in advance?
There is a web interface that has options to turn on linear channels and then provide your associated credentials for each provider.
Here is the official thread on EPlusTV ESPN+ & FOX Sports with Custom Channels via EPlusTV - #2012 by csdesigns
how do i get it, the only one i see is the one from github and that one does not have the option, could you please send me a link? because i cant see any?
thats the entire website there
Okay I see the issue. You need to include LINEAR_CHANNELS=true when you create the docker container. That should show the option.
ok at the end?
at the end of the regular commmand?
and do i need ti uninstall first?
Yes and yes.
I would suggest looking into Portainer for future docker deployments. It keeps things tidy and you don't have to worry about using the command line.
i installed it just like you said but i still get the exact same interface i showed you in the pictures and google drive link
how do i install portainer i went to their site and its telling me i have to pay
You want the CE edition. It is free.
Also, you can refer to bnhf's post on how to install Olivetin. There are instructions at the end of the first post to get portainer installed. OliveTin for Channels: An Interface for Misc Channels DVR Scripts & Tricks
I would suggest adding Olivetin once you get portainer installed as it has preconfigured examples to get the other channels docker add-ons installed using docker compose.
got it thanks
