Error on movie info for tmdb/

I'm getting this same message every day at about this time. I'm assuming I have a bad match/reference somewere on some content. WOuld like to clean it up, but... no idea how t start. The most useful response on the message boards for this said "it's a message for a developer" instead of an end user... still, help? Where can I find out what object is making this reference?

Maybe look through your logfile for what it was doing immediately BEFORE this error generates, and see if that gives you any clue. It might point to the file or files that's causing it.

Channels DVR is trying to cross-reference Movies and Series with TMDB, RottenTomatos, Trakt, etc. It appears to do this daily in the background.

I've been seeing these two "invalid TMS ID" repeated daily in my log for these recordings

MOVIE recorded once, 4 years ago
Frosty the Snowman (1969) "MovieID": "tms/166238" "ProgramID": "MV001897230000"

2026/09/14 22:13:05.063510 [ERR] Failed to get movie info for tms/166238: record not found: tms/166238: invalid TMS ID

SHOW with episodes still being recorded

Right, so somewhere I have content with a bad tmdb reference. I can go see if I can edit/rematch to clear that up. But I have no idea, in all my content, where to look.

You can search your Library files json for tmdb/nnnnnn that shows in the log message

Turns out that I didn't really want to match the 2008 Pixar movie Wall-E for a Pink Floyd Concert at all. Had I followed my standard of year name after the title, e.g. wall-e (2008).mp4, it may have helped the auto match. I wonder why the old entry for the Pink Floyd concert got dropped from the tmdb database, though I don't care a lot.

You might want to try "Fix Incorrect Match" to pick a different tmdb entry?

I don't have a match problem.
The errors in my log (invalid TMS ID) are for recordings I made using Channels DVR.
The recordings have the correct metadata.

My video was incorrectly identified, but it was identified against something that clearly existed at some point, and the meta data was not only wrong... but for something no longer available on tmdb (and why does that even happen). If you have good meta data, it must have come from tmdb at some point, but tmdb collapsed duplicate programs and did away with your old one?

Your movie was imported and matched against tmdb.

My movie was recorded by Channels DVR and used gracenote (tms) guide data, not tmdb.

The problem is with the backgrounding matching done by Channels DVR.
