ESPN+ & FOX Sports with Custom Channels via EPlusTV

So are you signed into EPlusTV with both your Sling credentials and your ESPN+ account?

That is correct. I have tried unchecking espn+ and I loose espn linear.

Linear working, SEC+ working, I think ACCX also works but that event not on now.

That's odd. I suppose we could leave the provider in place for now, but just disable scheduling of ESPN+ events.

thanks.

Hate to say it but the NFL+ game on NBC did not record last night, the usual could not get a playlist error. This seems to happen on a random basis with all events (not common).

Hmm does nfl+ work in general? havent watched it much besides prime

but it seems SEC+ works, havent tested ABC/EPSN3 yet. ACCX has not worked for me thus far.

It was working for me last night.

could you change the epg for espn+ games to work with chrome capture (have them run with the extra server prior to launch? that way I still get the right guide data.

this is not a horrible idea. it wouldn't be the epg data, it would be the target url in the m3u. if you could point cc4c to a proper index on espn+ wesite this could be a workaround.

Right? I already have a preliminary peacock plugin working and it also works with hulu/hbomax/prime.
ACCX event in 5 minutes, going to see if it works.

Linear - ALL work
ACCX - Works (havent confirmed it DRM)
SEC+ - Works (havent confirmed it DRM)
ESPN3/ABC - Unconfirmed

ESPN+ (Some work some don't?)

This is the current state. Can anyone confirm?

this is my experience yes.

That linear channel still wasn't working this morning.
I restarted the E+TV container and now it works.

I'm thinking the same (restart container) fixed my Local FOX.

In both cases I was seeing the error Could not get a playlist for channel
Wish the container log error was more descriptive about why it failed.
An event was scheduled on my Local FOX and in the case of ACCN, it's a linear channel. I have access to both through YTTV.

I watched NFL Redzone and NFL Network yesterday with no issue

Just wondering.. ESPN+ still hit and miss? anyone tested ESPN3/ABC? Bears vs Commanders tonight

Yeah the other three games recorded fine, it was just the NBC game last night that didn't work. Like I said it seems to be somewhat random when you get this error.

This has been an issue since the container was created IMO, I've seen it many times. Usually a container restart followed by a guide data refresh fixes it, so something gets messed up with the mapping between what's scheduled on a channel and the actual URL to pull.

It may be a bug in the container, or maybe the URL gets pulled out from under the container by Fox or whatever between the time it's scheduled and the actual air time. Who knows, the problem is that it makes it somewhat unreliable.

I don't know how the container is built but maybe some sort of time-based checks need to be done to make sure the URLs stay valid between schedule time and airtime.

ESPN3/ABC seems to work . What about ESPN+? Is it still drm?

Can ESPNDeportes be added as linear channel?

That might happen on the regular channels, but I also had it happen on a linear channel (ACCN).
Might be two different causes, but all we can see is the same error message in the container log.

tony I know your busy, but can you fix abc/espn3 failing on nextpvr? Other channels seem fine but nextpvr bugs out

I even ran ffmpeg

ffmpeg -i http://localhost:8000/channels/3007.m3u8 -t 60 -c copy test.ts

That worked fine. I included logs here, one of the main coder there doesn't know what to do either. He says its eplustv fault, but it works fine on ffmpeg and vlc. Any ideas?

This is how it loads in nextpvr, only ESPN3 does it. - I don't think SEC+, ACCX or Linear do this

It really unfortunate as most of the games I want to record are ESPN3/ABC

In the forums I included a log can we isolate the issue with ESPN3 ? Would really like to record the bama game. For some reason it works different than linear and ACCX/sec+
