ESPN+ & FOX Sports with Custom Channels via EPlusTV

I don’t try and record from the linear channels that Channels already allow me access too; just ESPN+.

You might try a search in your docker log. I’ve had some luck there.

The only time I couldn’t find a game was when I didn’t have enough channels. After Joe increased the number to 150 channels, my game was assigned on channel 101. If you are utilizing all the potential stations, you might have run out of available channels. My guide shows ESPN+ using 76 channels in that time spot of your game.

Maybe try nuking the entries.db and schedule.db files and restarting the container?

You'll have to clear out the entries in Channels since it will want to cache the previous ones for a while

No not really. The errors I get from FOX are usually pretty cryptic. Best guess would be that your tokens expired or something? Hard to say

Probably at some point, but it's not at the top of my list right now :upside_down_face:

It finally showed up for me on eplus channel X076

I have a somewhat related question. Does anyone know a method to capture or record ESPN+ on-demand content? I assume this isn't something EPlusTV can do.

I did that. Then on the server side under guide maintenance told it to "delete and recreate database" then it did finally show on the ESPN guide. I don't think the number of channels should have been an issue because I have -e NUM_OF_CHANNELS=400 as part of the command line.

Why am I getting this error message?

@m0ngr31 was the fox 4k ever fixed?

Depends on the event, but yes. Some of them are now using chunked mp4 files instead of regular ts segments and I'm not sure that Channels supports that yet

Is anyone getting 4k on the current St. John’s vs Butler game on espn+ FS1 ? It is in 4K on the TVE FS1. I’m only getting the 720. In the short time I’ve had the container going I’ve never seen it have a 4K feed.

Yes. 4K on both feeds.

I'm seeing 1080/60p for TVE and getting a Could not parse chunklist properly! error with the container.
EDIT: it was 1080/60p during the ads. It's 4k/30p during play.

Thank you, with that info I have relaunched the container adding max resolution uhd/hdr and 4k hdr is now working

The container documentation states default is uhd /sdr but I don’t think it is

If not set, UHD/SDR is the default.

Having a weird issue. I did a test recording for a 4k HDR game today but I have no episode art. Everything else works perfect. Any idea if I am doing something wrong? There isn't too much besides the standard stuff in the Custom channel setup

Same for me as well. Also they don’t get thrown in with the other recorded basketball games

Not sure what I'm doing wrong, but I've got the channels coming in, but I can't get the guide data to populate. When I go into docker and look at the log, I can see the channels that have been created and the names/programs, but nothing ever populates in the channels guide; It just has generic 1hr blocks. I've attached some screen shots, any help would be appreciated.

Remove environment start_channel 300 and tell channels to ignore channel numbers from m3u and your guide will magically work.
