ESPN+ & FOX Sports with Custom Channels via EPlusTV

Thanks for your great work Tony!

Would also be interested if user credentials for the "new" ESPN Unlimited app could be used to pull linear channels into EPlus? Currently a streaming subscription is needed within EPlus to pull these in via TVE. For those interested in just sports channels not having a traditional streaming sub could save some $.

So I assume everything is working again at the moment? Does ESPN/+ still work outside of the home residence? I know they cracked down on hulu, netflix and disney plus. I heard ESPN+ also cracked down as well? Luckily it seems ESPN/FOX hasnt yet? Do we know how many people can use espn.com at once on one acct?

Working great here!

Can confirm that everything is happy on my end!

Thanks for picking this all up @tonywagner!

What is that interface? Looks slick.

This is Streaming Library Manager for Channels, specifically the Playlist Manager extension. I'm showing the Assigned Stations page and the results of the Check Station Status function. Similarly, I could have also uses the Media Tools Manager extension to run a Report like this:

sorry, i only touch this stuff a few time a year and i dont remember how to get this setup in synology container manager.

is there still the web ui to change the environment variables?

This is how I initially set up EPlusTv in Container Manager. You probably need to go to tonywagner's GitHub page. On your Synology, you will have to create the required folders if you haven’t already. Please read the GitHub instructions. Once you got it installed, use the web interface (your ip: port number) then you can authenticate.

got it.

having a lot of listings in the guide that show that there is something on an eplus channel, but then when i try to play it i get 503. the eplus logs show "could not get a playlist for channel... please make sure there is an event schedules and you have access to it"

I had just reauthed, redownloaded the m3u and xmltv in channels

If i remember correctly, i can go into the file location for the container and trash the entries.db or schedule.db?

I would stop your container first then delete those files. Start the container and check your logs to see if it’s finding any events. You could also go to your source in Channels and redownload m3u and redownload the xmltv file.

Would anyone know if video streams from livebarn.com could be extracted with EPlusTV and fed into Channels? For those that don't know, Livebarn is a site that streams youth hockey games from hundreds of rinks around the country.

Question: Has ESPN+ been cracking down on password sharing in earnest or is it just an empty threat for now?

Yeah...I'm not gonna answer that. I'm not too sure its a good idea to talk about that here....

Doug,
From my perspective, when I travel I authenticate from home before leaving, especially on my phone. Just about every time I try to watch while traveling, without prior authentication, it requires me to change password to watch. This has been going on for well over a year. I don’t share my 'My Disney' password with anyone. The ESPN+ subscription is one of the best values in the streaming sports world.

Isnt there a command that does the pull like git pull?

It's at the bottom of the GitHub page

docker pull tonywagner/eplustv
