Sorry for the late reply but yes Fox does work but only from your container. I need my local Fox network back lol.
As far as I know fox doesn't offer much programming besides sports on tve
I haven't done it yet to test, but on linear, is the 1 hr extra time removed?
Yes, on linear I'm not adding extra buffer
I just went and double checked, the API I'm using to get the schedule doesn't provide any data besides sporting events, so I'd be unable to hook up the linear channel
I assume one of the streams comes from this site as well
CBS Sports network cant stay linear even with that?
Also since the guy above asked about tve from fox, will this give content from CBS as well, or just the sports from CBS affiliate? I mean the app is made for the sports, but will other content come in too? I think channels already has this, and I know you aren't trying to replace the functionality and benefit of channels which is the token renew that channels does, but was curious.
I could potentially stay linear with the stream, but they don't provide an EPG for it other than upcoming sporting events and what's on right this second. So I can't fetch anything in between the two
Yeah, it will pickup games that are on your main CBS channel, but not other content.
I think an option for linear would be good too. I don't think channels has CBS sports iirc. You could add full CBS too if you wanted I assume, maybe same story with getting channels from someone like schedule direct/channels
EPG not really a problem with the gracenote data in Channels but yeah maybe a problem for those who don't depend on that
CBS Sports is available with Xfinity TVE.
CBS sports is also available on TVE through YTTV.
I'm not interested in the epg lol, channels can take care of that, just in search of a stationery fox channel.
Puffer works, but the site cant handle more than 500 users at once. It often will be overloaded at football time.
Yes both are available, but they arent available on channels tve for whatever reason iirc. At least last I checked.
CBS Sports Network is def. available on TVE - I record from it often.
OK, my mistake. Well its nice to have, as backup, as ESPN/2/SECN/ACCN are also on tve
The issue on the FOX side is that I have to have an event ID to grab the stream info. If I can't get one from the API then I don't know what to ask their servers for to start the steam. Unfortunately it's not like CBS where I can just hand them a channel and they give me a stream
aww I see, but thanks anyway
I still have yet to use linearchannels, but can channel logos be added if they aren't already - if that's how it works?
Yes the linear channels have the proper artwork
