@m0ngr31 since the NBA season is in full swing now any way to get the YES network for Brooklyn Nets Games? Should be able to add as linear.
Yes, I'm wanting to add Gotham Sports which I believe is replacing MSG+ and YES apps. If you have access to YES and don't mind lending me your credentials I'd be happy to look at adding it (assuming it doesn't have DRM)
Did you ever get any help with this? I would like this functionality and can share if need be.
I'd have to check again, but I swear there was DRM
I read through the posts and could not seem to find anything for sure. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help you check.
The MLS and MLB streams on Apple TV are DRM protected
Do you think things will be any different this year to where you might want to give NBA League Pass another try? If so, LMK and I'll shoot you my credentials.
Thanks appreciate your work on this!
I doubt it because DRM. I think you'll have more luck piping in NBALP using cc4c, ah4c or adbtuner (via YTTV and Sling)
Tonight the World Series is on 4K, but I don't see it on the linear channels there. I have my settings set to 4K events only.
go to settings, sources, eplus, refresh source. see if it pops up?
4K World Series is working for me, at least via the non-linear channel assignments.
It doesn't label it as 4K here:
Or here, on the iPad/Mac app:
But it does label it as 4K here once the stream starts:
And here in the Show Stats. Audio is 2-channel stereo only:
This is compared to my HDHomerun 4K which gets FOX in ATSC 1.0, which is 720p and 6 channel sound:
And ATSC 3:0, which is 1080p and 6 channel sound too:
FWIW, here's how my EPlus configuration is set for Fox Sports:
I would think it would show up on linear channels. And will it pass the gracenote data?
If it's on FOX it won't be under linear
Is anyone able to watch the 4K Fox feeds on their Android phone without jitter/sputter? Mine sometimes works for a very short while then becomes unwatchable pretty quickly. WiFi speed/buffering on my LAN isn't an issue. When I pull up Stats it shows dropped frames like crazy. Watching the ATSC1 feed from my HDHR is flawless, however it's 720p. I'm using a Pixel 8 Pro.
Edit: Changing Video Decoder to Hardware fixed this. Thanks
FWIW, this is what last night's "Fox 4K on KTTV" feed looked like to my eyes. We ended up choosing the ATSC3 signal because the picture looked just as good but had 6 channel sound instead of stereo.
My Fox 4K feed looked fantastic.
So did mine, but it was also indistiguishable from the ATSC3 signal we pick up on channel 111.1, which had surround sound. And that grand slam in the bottom of the 10th deserved the best audio possible!
