For me this is big news, but it begs the question. How do we get the events and deeplinks out of the app.

If you can work with the EsPN site itself it will be much easier.
Directv is doing the same exact thing in their app as long as you have a sports type plan.
If you have stuff like MLB linked up through ESPN, you can't watch events from MLB on YTTV.
All roads lead back to the ESPN app.

I believe the deeplinks are already available in FruitDeepLinks. Directv Stream has had them since last summer. You'll have to view thru the ESPN app so just login there with tv provider and your ESPN account. They work great. I've been using ADBTuner for these with no issues.
The app willneed to be updated to work with YTTV due to difference in price etc.
Yeah the easy answer is to use FDL with the ESPN app, no need to try to get the same content with a different app.

Eventually i know someone will tap into the YTTV version of ESPN unlimited.
It’s already possible today, but all streams are DRM and require the HDMI encoder/Prismcast route. They’ll never go backwards to clear unencrypted streams.
I'm mainly looking to tune these events inside of YTTV with ADBTuner or similar. I've found that the streams on YTTV are almost 8 seconds ahead of the ESPN app.
Whenever I login to my YoutubeTV account with a web browser and go to 'Live TV', and select a show from the YTTV guide, I recall the deeplink is within the site address in the address bar, and it's the correct deeplink for my locale.
