Is it possible to export an m3u of a custom channel collection.
Eg: my "live sport" collection that only shows channels with LIVE and SPORT tags
No, it isn’t.
Is this something that could be available in the future?
Anything is possible. But it’s not something we’ll commit to in this thread.
You’re not the only person to bring it up. We understand that it would be helpful.
Adding my name to the list of people who would like this option. I use Channels to feed TVIMate to allow me to have multiple screens going at one time. Having this allows me not to have to scroll through a few hundred channels to get to some of the extra Olympic feeds.
Now if you added Multiview capabilities within Channels, well then I guess this would be a moot point on this request......
That works great for a static channel collection, but wouldn't you have to constantly create a new m3u if you're using dynamic automatic channel collections?

You would, but it wouldn't be too difficult to add an interval, and have it regenerate on a schedule similar to when CDVR checks for changes in the M3U. It could also easily be hosted using the static-file-server part of OliveTin-for-Channels. If there's interest I can add that to a short list of things I have in mind for the project.
