Extreme Code (XC) Source Support

I am not sure if this has been asked I searched but found nothing.

Many people are finding Dispatcharr which support XC capabilities for both live TV and more specifically VOD sources. Are there any plans to look into adding XC sources into channels for those of us that are starting to plug into Dispatcharr?

I haven't had my morning coffee yet, but what is Dispatcharr, what is XC, and what do they have to do with Channels and OTA broadcasts?

I don't want to speak for the developers, but with Xtreme Codes history with illegal IPTV I doubt they would want to support it.

Unfortunately, the forum here doesn't support piracy software.
The devs most likely won't offer support.

A m3u manager/editor similar in function to m3u4u.com

...but since it can export m3u, I don't see why Channels would need to support XC. Especially since those usually have way more than 750 channels, which is more than the max Channels handles per Custom Channels source, anyway.

Yes I use it for M3U exports and dispatcharr currently is a lot more than just a list builder.

Also VOD can’t be exported via M3U that needs XC connection

It already supports custom M3U lists so…..there’s that.

And there are plenty of legit sources for XC sources as well. Same as M3U lists. XC API is just a single source to pull in after curation instead of multiple M3U playlists. It’s a more efficient method.

At the end of the day all I asked for was supporting another end point protocol option that is no different than M3U or the others. It’s just another means of API connection by a client to a source. That’s fine if it does not want to be supported but don’t segregate out one protocol / connection type from another as being different in its use than M3U. That la a bit naive or you open Pandora’s box as to the morality of any of them M3U included.

Link?

If it requires us to sign up for illegal IPTV to do testing and development, it will never happen.

You weren't specific, but VOD M3U playlists are not supported in Channels, regardless of the source.

You’d test against dispatcharr that’s the link that is the XC endpoint
