Failed recordings cleanup

Probably a dumb question here, but I couldn't find the answer with a search here or on the web. If I create a pass for a show that has already started, I get a "Failed, show has already started" or something to that effect in the Schedule. Do these get cleaned up or just sit out there? I've been going back to the web interface, and deleted these manually. Anyone know how that works?

They get cleared out after a week automatically
