Fast-forward not working for recordings

Howdy, I’m having trouble with fast-forward and rewind while watching recordings. I think I should be able to fast-forward or rewind either by swiping left or right on the Apple TV remote or by holding down the left or right side of the gesture area. Here’s what I’m able to do:

  • Click on the right side to skip forward 30s; click on the left side to skip back 7
  • If I click and hold either the left or right side, playback pauses. I sometimes see a flash of the rewind or FF symbol for a split-second before the pause symbol shows up.
  • If I swipe left or right while paused I can scrub by moving my finger in the gesture area.
  • If I swipe left or right while the recording is playing nothing happens.

Is it expected that I can’t enter a FF/rewind mode other than manually scrubbing?

This is a bug.
