FastChannels - FAST Channels aggregator/manager

now working.

Would be great if this supported fios tv plus now that it works with ah4c. I am sure this would be a welcome feature for many with the end of cablecards here.

I found the issue: I had both Dark Shadows and The Repair Channel showing as channel 1205 in CDVR. I'm not sure how that occurred, but I made some tweaks, and now it behaves properly. The other symptom was that the CDVR guide showed the two shows running at overlapping times, e.g. DS episode xyz running 10-10:30pm and Repair Shop running 10:15-11:15pm.

Does CDVR provide any easy way to find / fix these kinds of issues? This one I was able to hunt down manually, but I've had scheduled recordings giving the wrong show, and suspect something similar might be the reason.

I had already deleted/recreated the db, but the problem turned out to be overlapping channel numbers - now corrected.

Any reason why TCM isn't supported using Warner TVE?

just wasnt on my radar - should be an easy add for next version since it'll share the same flow for other Warners.

Good morning. YTTV is working but it is hit/miss with phone login. Also, YTTV has TVE for TBS/TNT without using AH4C but FC is seeing DRM and using AH4C. Just FYI.

Also, a feature request/question. Could you possibly use two sources for TVE?

Working great! Using it for Frndly TV, NBC, Pluto, Hallmark and others.

Tnx will check it out

What do you mean use two sources for tve? I assume you mean sign into TVE for NBC with Spectrum then Discovery with YouTube TV (as example). If so, yea got it on the roadmap.

Yes, you are on it. For example, YTTV and Spectrum. Channel autthorization is often different in plans. Thanks again.

@KineticMan Please add support for fios tv plus. thanks.

Can sure try. I’ll need some creds tho. Dm me.

Thank you @KineticMan for this awesome app!

I have a smaller cable provider (RCN / Astound). Currently I use PrismCast on a Windows 11 PC but am thinking about going the bridge route. Would you recommend ah4c or HDMI Capture? Is it possible to have two HDMI Captures running simultaneously?

You can do a single HDMI Capture device without ah4c, but with ah4c you can manage one or more. How often is a single tuner enough?

Probably 75% of the time. I wasn't sure if AHC worked with smaller cable providers.

ah4c can work with any provider, though you'd really want one that has deeplink support. The FastChannels ah4c bridge, however, only works with providers listed in the FastChannels WebUI under "Premium Sources".

Thank you for the clarification! I think I'll start with the HDMI Capture.

Would I still be able to use PrismCast if I need additional tuners?

Which of the "Premium Sources" will you be using?

Yes, this is easily handled by CDVR. The steps are:

  • Set up two feeds (covering the same set of channels) one using the HDMI Capture Bridge, and the other the PrismCast Bridge.
  • Set the channel numbers for the HDMI Capture Bridge channels higher than the PrismCast Bridge Channels.
  • Set a stream limit of one in the CDVR Custom Channels Source for the HDMI Capture Bridge channels.
  • Do your tuning using the HDMI Capture Bridge channel numbers, and if that bridge already has one stream active, CDVR will roll over to the PrismCast Bridge channels.

ESPN and Fox One in the "Premium Sources." Plus I use the TVE content too.

Thanks for the steps to make the HDMI overflow to PrismCast work!

ended up going with yttv as verizon limits me to 4 streams and no hbo outside the house. Plus they insist I have at leat 1 of their boxes.

IF there's no monthly charge, ask them to send it to you and chuck it in the closet. You'll then have it to return if/when you ever cancel their service, and they'll be happy.
