What does your Channels DVR source setting look like
Does Channels DVR log show the XMLTV guide being refetched every hour?
Should appear something like this in the log
[DVR] Fetched guide data for XMLTV-FastChannelsExtraChannels
It looks like it:
2026/05/12 21:16:24.031537 [DVR] Fetched guide data for XMLTV-FastChannelsExtraChannels in 31ms
2026/05/12 21:16:24.830188 [DVR] Indexed 3083 airings into XMLTV-FastChannelsExtraChannels (135 channels over 75h28m4s) + 5294 skipped [798ms index]
2026/05/12 21:16:24.846028 [DVR] pruned 1 replaced airings in 16ms.
2026/05/12 21:16:24.884520 [IDX] Pruned 111 expired groups from XMLTV-FastChannelsExtraChannels in 18ms.
FYI. I brought in another source of all Tubi from fastchannels and it shows the guide with no issues. The other channels like Pluto play fine but just no consistent guide data
How often is Channels DVR fetching guide data (per the log), every hour?
Could be the channels numbers are changing? (I always let Channels DVR assign them)
Do a Delete and Recreate Database in Channels DVR

I just changed to letting CHDVR assign and deleted and recreated database. Still no guide data. The only thing that seems to bring guide data back is when there is an update to fastchannels
I would recommend using the hostname or IP address of the device running the container instead of localhost
I will try that again but it did not work previously.
The IP address should work.
I think that is the issue. the local ip is not working, only the localhost
What are you running docker on?
M4 Mac Mini
Have you tried using the IP address to get to the FastChannels Admin page?

Yes, it won't work. Now localhost won't work anymore either for adding back to Channels
Can you ping the IP address of the Mac Mini in terminal?
I figured it out. The ip address on my router changed. How do I stop that from happening again?
Welp, I got the channels back using the full ip address but not the guide
If you mean the IP address of your Mac Mini changed, just set a reserved DHCP IP address for it in your router.
If you mean your router IP address changed that's way beyond Channels DVR and FastChannels help.
