Feature Request: Ability to export to EyeTV on Mac

Been using EyeTV (hardware and software) for many years on my Mac but it does not properly support more than 1 tuner. With the software, I would record the shows to my SSD, trim, then export to iTunes for playback. The iTunes library is on an 8TB Hard drive

Recently, I purchased an 4-tuner HD HomeRun but was unhappy with the provided UI and found Channels. It has been working great and it is available to family members in the house.

Not sure if it has been looked into (could not find another thread about it) but I would like to request the ability to export to EyeTV for editing and export purposes. The .eyetv file is just some sort of package file with the MPEG file, a couple of TIFF files for Image/Album Artwork, two plist (XML) files containing information about the show/movie as well as some technical info about the show, and finally a file that is not human-readable (which would probably be the difficult part of doing this feature request).

Thank you,
Harold

I used this feature a lot with Eyetv for many years. It was nice because you could manually edit out the commercials and save it to a much smaller file to play on iTunes. I would love to see this as part of the Channels program with the ability to identify and edit out commercials. In the meantime you can use Handbrake to export the Channels recordings but can’t edit out commercials.
