I'm trying to improve my fluency in a foreign language by watching foreign TV shows, and would really love the ability to quickly change playback speed without multiple manual remote presses. Right now, it takes about 8 button presses/swipes to change speed.
If this were added, I could easily program a smart button in Home Assistant to "seek_backward" and slow to 0.75x for a few seconds before resuming normal playback at 1.0x, which I could use as a sort of "instant replay" to listen to unfamiliar words.
