As a feature would it be possible to lock records so they cannot be deleted without an extra few steps or with permissions. For example, I recorded the Australian Open tennis finals and would like to hang on it for some time as it was a phenomenal match. I would hate for my myself, my girlfriend or a visitor who is using channels to delete it by accident or without thinking twice about the content. I guess I could back it up, any other suggestions?

+1 to this. A “keep forever” feature would be useful for me as well.

+1… A “keep until I delete” feature like TiVo boxes have would be great.

We have added this feature in the latest pre-release in the web UI. There is an option in the gear dropdown for recordings labeled "Prevent auto-delete".
