I have my one channels server feeding my main channels server using this as a tuner:
http://192.168.12.40:8089/devices/ANY/channels.m3u?format=hls
Works great. Issue is the source channels server is remuxing
I tried using http://192.168.12.40:8089/devices/ANY/stream.mpg but that errors out.
Anyone know the correct syntax to avoid remuxing with the ANY parameter?

Try recreating the custom m3u source using a different name.
Should display Watching... NOT Remuxing.
Change format=hls to format=ts.
Would that matter if the source channel was hls?
I'm wondering if ch9000 on the feeding server is hls or mpeg-ts...
Is the screenshot slampman provided from the feeding server or from the main channels server?
Source is hls. I tried changing to ts and I got the source error on the client
You need to append the format=ts to the URL, and set the Custom Channel to MPEG-TS.
Internally, Channels uses TS. If you use format=hls (which is the same as using no query parameter at all), then Channels will serve using whatever you have set in the Web Player transcoding options.
Ahhh thanks. I was thinking that since the source on the source CDVR server was HLS I needed to also do HLS for the receiving CDVR server.
So basically: hls source -> Source CDVR server hls custom channel -> Source CDVR server mpeg-ts -> Receiving CDVR server mpeg-ts

Curious, what is your use case for having multiple channels servers? Looking for inspirational ideas on my current setup.
I also have 2 servers ... one Main DVR for daily Viewing and Recording of PrimeTime shows... the other to record movies and full Series of TVShows in syndication. for ex. Friends. Outer Limits etc ...
My Main DVR serves Channels and Guide Data to my 2nd server. Run it this way as not to task Channels DVR guide servers.
