I use a Fios CableCARD on an HDHomeRun Prime through Verizon Fios. Recently, my USA Network channel (which I watch for Premier League games) has stopped working—the picture is heavily pixelated, and the audio is garbled—on the(STB) and CableCARD. After spending 2.5 frustrating hours with online chat support across four different agents, they are now pushing for me to upgrade to a newer STB. However, they mentioned that the upgrade would render my CableCARD unusable. This is a dealbreaker for me, so I need to find a workaround for accessing that one channel.
But, has anyone else encountered issues with the latest Fios STB causing problems with the CableCARD?
USA Network and the other channels on QAM 16 (Bravo and SyFy) are not working for me via cableCARD. YES Network on QAM 18 is showing the same. Whatever the issue it is, its obviously on their end because we seem to be experiencing the same issue.

Jaidenc - thanks for your response. I'm based in Philly also. At least I know that it isn't my hardware at fault. But it does bother me that an (eventual) upgraded STB could compromise the cableCARD.
Do you have an older STB?
Providers don't want you using cablecards anymore. They don't want to support them.
They want you to use their STB's.
They will do anything in the book to convince you that your cablecards won't work anymore to get you to give them up. And then you cannot get them back.
There are some providers and areas where you can no longer use them because of changes to their infrastructure.
I don't think mine is that old, no more than 4 years?
As long as you have a QAM based box the cablecard should be fine. I have no idea if verizon is deploying IP video in Philadelphia but I think they've been doing it in some other places. Cablecards are incompatible with IP video.

USA Network (and Bravo and SyFy and others) work for me on CableCard on Fios here in the Baltimore area, and I never noticed them not working. CableCard originally provided by Verizon in 2012, previously used in a Tivo.
As I now understand it, Verizon wants to deploy new STBs by April to replace remaining Motorola QAM units. If that's the case, the related cableCards will no longer work.
