Just got the fireTV major update. UI changed.
Finally out.
Not sure I like it too busy.
And according to the Amazon forums, it has a memory leak that will make it unusable after about two weeks runtime, requiring a reset.
They also just release a 3rd gen stick.
That is not a 4K stick.

New Fire TV UI Update on Fire TV Cube does not play well with Channels DVR. Constant crashes. I hope the developers are getting my submitted diagnostics from my device. I send them on every crash and freeze for this device. I guess I will go back to my 4K stick for backup. It has not gotten the update yet.
Is it crashing during LiveTV i have a FireTVCube as my main Client but I very seldom use channels for livetv ... maybe I should watch a little see what happens.
Any way to avoid the update?
I think I ran into this problem I was trying to uninstall a few apps the icons and app names did not match uninstalled the wrong one rebooting fixed this.
I have been running Channels DVR with the new UI update on my second Gen Fire TV cube for about 5 days now and I'm not seeing any issues with the Channels DVR app. I use the app almost all all day for both Live TV and recordings with no problems. The only thing I see is it would be cool if it showed the Channels DVR app when you select Live TV on the UI.

Do you use cube for dvr?
No I Use a Windows 10 I7 as I run a Sage and Emby Server also on it.
