Flow Control

I am getting this header when I go to my settings page:

Flow Control is enabled on 1 ethernet interfaces.

****Ethernet Flow Control is an outdated technology that can causes communication problems between the DVR and HDHomeRun, resulting in corrupted recordings. This is likely to happen if you use an Apple TV HD or other streaming device with a 100mbps ethernet connection. Newer Apple TV 4K devices use gigabit ethernet and are not affected by this issue.

1. Find the Channels DVR icon in the Windows System Tray
2. Right click the system tray icon
3. Click Fix Ethernet Settings in the menu
4. Click Yes in the User Access Controldialog

I did the fix Ethernet Settings and it greys out but nothing happens. I went to the adapter and checked flow control and it was off.

Is there anything else I need to do?

The "fix" turns flow control off. In most cases, having flow control off or on makes no difference yet the code checks for it to be off so I turn it off for silence.

Windows 11.
I had this show up when I tried to use a new Ethernet adapter.
(And BTW, the new adapter would not use my static IP address!!! Not sure why, maybe because of the below)
I had unplugged the old adapter from the laptop port and plugged in the new adapter into a USB hub and that Flow msg showed up.
I'm not sure but I think that even tho the old adapter was no longer connected it's still in Device Manager(You have to show disconnected devices) and that was my conflict...
A discrepancy between the two adapters even tho one was not connected but still known to the system!!
I think If I had also removed/deleted the old adapter from Device Manager that would have worked but I didn't try that.
I just plugged the old one back in to the laptop port, the Flow msg went away
and it used the correct static IP address.
