Folders and Files for Channels DVR

in my shared folder for the Channels DVR, I see a folder named "logs"

under this folder are subfolders [and some more]:
comskip
5 [several other numbered folders]
and then at the "5" folder, several files.

please see the attached screenshots.

when i clicked on the video.mpg, looks like its the exact recording i have in the TV folders [where i assume all the recordings are saved with their corresponding file names].

so what is these extra and duplicate files for? i assume that they are taking duplicate space as well in my NAS. not sure if this is automatically deleted or how long this will stay. just wanted to avoid using up space in my HDD for unnecessary duplicates.

The files are not duplicates, they are symbolic links.

so that video.mpg file is a link and not really taking 10GB of space apart from the real recording which also takes the same space?

Correct. It’s just an alias file and takes up no additional space.
