For HDHomeRun vs DVR?

Newbie here. I’ve had Channels for HDHomeRun for years. Finally installed the DVR on my Mac Air. It shows up fine in my Channels for HDHomeRun app. Are there any benefits to running the Channels DVR app instead? The only difference I’ve found in the apps is, the one for DVR won’t load if my Mac Air is powered off, but the app for HDHomeRun will.

Correct that is the only difference, and you're free to use either app with your dvr
