I have some TV episodes of a show and the filenames of the shows were incorrectly named. I added the show to a virtual channel and that's when I realized the problem, so I checked all the episodes and found the problem and now have renamed all the episode filenames to the correct episode. The problem is that Channels DVR doesn't seem to recognize the filename change and no matter how many times I click "Scan Sources" under Local Content, the incorrect filenames are still listed in the TV show library. How can I fix this?
Maybe need to purge the old versions and bump the virtual channel so it notices
So I did a purge and rematch, and it matched the fixed episodes to a different TV show, and now those episodes are just STUCK in that show. I've tried fixing incorrect match, refreshing, purging, refreshing, and no matter what I do, Channels just will not move those episodes to the correct show.
I'm at a loss as to what to do now.
Check mark those episodes and then Fix Show in the action menu
Nope, didn't work. The fixed episodes just will not budge out from under that incorrect show.
So I got the problem fixed. I was using TheMovieDB to match the show, and MDB doesn't have a listing for the incorrect show, but Gracenote does. I switched the show back to Gracenote, selected the correct show, which merged the fixed episodes back in, then switched it back to TheMovieDB to fix the episode matching because Gracenote's metadata isn't very good. Seems that Channels was just ignoring the MovieDB match if the incorrect match doesn't exist on MovieDB.
