Forcing authentication even when local?

So, I decided to play around since I hate typing and remembering port numbers etc.
Essentially I've created a local DNS listing that overrides and points http://channels.com to my local firewall interface, which then gets handled by CADDY and passed onto getchannels.local:8089.
In the Channels log, the traffic incoming IS from my local IP, not WAN, however every time I close my browser or start a new session I have to re-authorize.
Can I disable auth based on local IP so that I can keep my Unbound/Override setup?

can't help you with this specifically, but if you can remember this url - it will always go to your DVR server.
"my.channelsdvr.net"

Channels DVR Server has no auth when you are local, by default,

You are triggering auth because of your proxy. We have put that in place because people were using proxies and exposing them to the internet, which left their server open to the internet.

You can get some background about it here: Security Update for Docker Deployments

That being said, I use the same type of setup but with NGINX proxy Manager which also adds a LE cert to it to provide https and it works fine. You CAN NOT use this named host when connected to your Channels DVR Server from the Channels app though, you need to use the IP and port.

Locally in your browser, you will trigger auth. But once you've provided the code once, you shouldn't be prompted again. Do you have cookies disabled or something?

Cookies are enabled, but I have my browser purge cached data when its closed.

Welp, there ya go.
