Yep. Working for me now after updating. This is great! Would be great to get the fox 4K broadcasts working too with the nfl playoffs starting up this weekend.

@tmm1 it worked for me until it went to commercial and then I got a spinning wheel and it never recovered. I'm guessing that the commercials were a different resolution? Also the brightness is significantly dimmer with channels than it is with the fox sports app. I know that ATV is switching into HDR mode as the TV goes black in both instances to do the mode switching

I noticed the commercials are switching in and out of HDR as well. The Fox apps stays as HDR.

I only got to catch the last few minutes but did see that the game was coming through Channels in 4k. When the next game came on it switched back to 720. I'm thankful for the technology the Channels Team is providing for us. I didn't try any recording tonight, but have tomorrow afternoon's game scheduled to record and we'll see how it does.

I'm looking forward to the 5.1 audio getting up and running and seeing more television in 4k. Thanks to all who have contributed to this thread of information.

As I was reading this, it failed to register in my brain that this is ChannelsDVR grabbing the FoxSports 4K stream through TVE. I was thinking that the devs did some things to optimize the interaction with the EPlusTV container. DUH!! Anyway, looking forward to the next 4K event on FS1 to see this in action and hoping it can get wired into the “regular” Fox TVE sometime soon.

It's exciting to see that it is possible to get 4k video via TVE. I had thought the highest res available via TVE is 720P. Looking forward to the new tech.

Fox local TVE only works via EPLUSTV docker

Oh, well time to fire up the Fox App.

Is this going to be built into regular TVE soon? Thanks

The sound is flat sounds like stereo on the APP rather watch OTA.

Pic is way better tho.

ATSC 3.0 Is pretty good too. When watching on the APP I missed the load crowd noise.

Yup. So I get sound from OTA and get picture from Fox app. I have to hit pause on the sound maybe once or twice a game to keep it in perfect sync.

No it doesn’t. :sob:

Not my ATSC 3.0. The ATSC1 feed in the Omaha market is noticeably better than the 3.0

I do not use Channels to watch ASTC 3.0 Programs Volume is too low and drops frames .. Instead, I use the HDHomeRun APP.

Im watching the 3.0 feed through Channels and for me (Charlotte market) it is darn near as good as the 4k feed from the app. I really can’t tell the difference. I’ve flipped them back and forth between both screens
