FOX defaulting to Spanish

For some reason FOX keeps defaulting to Spanish, possibly on app close, reset, or upgrade. I can manually change back to English but would expect English to remain language of choice whenever Apple TV app is opened. I am not having any issues with any other channel.

I’m a Cox customer, using HDhomerun prime box, and Apple TV. Any ideas?

More info: default language changes with simple change of channel, also FOX is only channel where Spanish is listed as first language. All other channels list English first.

I am having the same issue on Comcast. Only channel that defaults to the Spanish audio.

I have the same issue with TBS or TNT - one of two. Only channel that seems to always default to spanish.

Can you capture a short sample video from http://HDHOMERUN:5004/auto/vCHANNEL?duration=30 and send it to [email protected]?

For example, if your hdhomerun’s ip is 10.0.1.1 and the channel number having issues is 12, visit this URL in chrome: http://10.0.1.1:5004/auto/v12?duration=30

We have implemented a fix for this issue which is currently being tested in beta.

I have the latest version of channels for iOS. Included in the last update was a fix for defaulting to Spanish audio. However it didn’t change a thing for me. I still get Spanish first during certain programing. For example the NFL game on FOX today. Also all channels with paid programing have Spanish cover art associated with it. Are others still having this issue?

Can you screenshot the options that show up when you click the audio selection button?

Here is a screen grab of the art issue. All the audio track info says is Track 1 and Track 2. It defaults to Track 1 and that is apparently Spanish on FOX network. Same on Apple TV and iOS

The Spanish Paid Program art happens for me as well but is coming from SiliconDust’s guide data, so outside of Channels devs’ control. Maybe worth emailing [email protected] to mention it?

We don’t have any control over the Guide images. 24 can fix the audio issue if it is still happening. Please send a screenshot of the audio options on that channel, along with a tuner sample using the instructions earlier in this thread.
