Fox network is suddenly missing from Spectrum TV and Dish Network in my sources. Is there a contract dispute or some other problem?
Fox is still on Spectrum thru AppleTV. Fox is not available through the Channels App using AppleTV or Fire Stick. It is like it just disappeared. It doesn't even show up in a "grayed out" item when I attempt an edit in my source menu.
Fox and ABC have also disappeared in the Dish Network source. Neither are listed (even grayed out) in the source menu.
I can get Fox Now as an app on my Fire Stick TV, but no app for Fox.com/live. It let me sign in using my Spectrum login.
So I'm wondering if Fox is blocking access through venues like Channels the way some other stations are doing. PBS comes to mind.
I can record Fox through my Spectrum app, but I much prefer using my Fire device and Channels for a DVR. Spectrum doesn't do commercial skipping and I really don't like the way the remote control works.
This disappearance just happened in the last two days.
I have Fox on XFINITY WWE is the next show at 08:PM
Got Fox 6002 through Spectrum TVE on my Channels. Can Watch WWE Friday Night Smack Down right now. Fox TVE has always been a little goofy for me, most of the time it is "signed off" with only three or four shows a day. Rest of the night till tomorrow afternoon it is "signed off" until the USFL Football Game. As for Fox through my Homerun Prime (Spectrum Cable Card) through Channels, it is working completely fine with full 24/7 schedule.
Most Channels DVR users are not aware of how the TVE integration works in Channels DVR.
It has nothing to do with TVE apps (network or provider).
It does what you would do when going to a network (like Fox) live web streaming site, signs in with your provider for you and streams it.
So you get whatever the network live web streaming site would give you in a web browser.
@Absenm For Fox, it's usually only the Fox O&O (Owned & Operated) stations that stream their content 7x24. The rest of us only get primetime programming.
Now, maybe you can understand why @tmm1 asked you this
