I'm trying to find a streaming service that provides Fox News and Fox Business via TVE -- I've tried Sling TV and Vidgo, neither provides those channels on TVE. I'm looking for a cheaper alternative to Spectrum which lards up its TV service with about $30 in "taxes". I have locals via antenna, I just need Fox news via Channels added.
I would have suggested YouTube TV but they raised their price from 49.99 to 64.99. Not worth it for just 2 channels your seeking. You can ask Spectrum about the streaming service. There you can get your choice of up to 10 network channels + some locals. It was 24.99 when I had it. Fox news and Buisness worked with it. Worth a call.
64.99 Streaming services are as expensive as Cable.... Plus you still have to pay for Internet.
Its more than my Spectrum streaming and I can access all the TVE channels in Channels DVR.
I believe they have won the award for being the most expensive for their package. I don't think 8 new channels worth the 15 bucks. I don't watch any of them.
Do Spectrum choice. You get your pick of 10 cable channels plus locals for $25. $32 with taxes and fees. Not box required or Try Hulu live
Fubo has the TVE access for both these channels.
Have any family member that have Comcast or some other supported cable tv service with those channels in their package,...u can add a secondary limited account to theirs and use that for TVE source, if they approve.
That is what do, since my folks still have cable. Comcast, i did check with Comcast, and they are fine with that, use secondary account for "family share" use, since u can have family members have separate logins to use their online streaming website and TVGO channles u can watch out of home.. they even recommend. This login also works in TVE apps.
To supplement, I also have Philo for $20 a month to get the channels via TVE that my folks do not have in their package.
Philo doesn't offer those news channels. The original post asked about Fox News and Fox Buisness
@kennyb3653 never said Philo did....u missed the point. I get fox news and fox b from said cable tv TVE login....as the op can do, and many do, just search these forms, plenty of of users with multiple TVE sources.
for reference, u can use this site to select the channel u want, and it shows you what standalone streaming services and app have it, however, that does not necessary mean it will have TVE access.
and, before u take issue over the idea of "mooching" from my folks, i'll have u know, that my payment to them for use of the secondary account, is being their "tech support" person when they need it, not to mention the many $ of random computer and networking equipment that I have donated to them over the years, and time spent teaching them how to use, and other random, household things i do for them every month or so.
Good for you. I wish I was smart to what you are doing.
Me too
I did wind up with Spectrum Choice but it is more expensive than it was: It is now $34.99 minus a $4 promo, plus $6 for "local channel access", plus $2.19 in taxes. I wound up saving $19 over the Spectrum Select package I had, and still get all the channels I want, so that's something.
Yeah it's a good deal. I guess it's different in different areas. Spectrum gave me Select and Internet for $110 total after all taxes and fees. I was paying $70 for internet alone. I did have to buy their Apple TV for $7.50 a month for 24 months.
