Fox News Keeps Crashing - (Transcoder Reset)

I was on a server version from a few days ago and it kept crashing. Updated to the latest and it is still doing the same thing. Just sent a few crash reports from a couple different Android TV devices (Tivo Stream 4K) and my Pixel 7 Pro. This is happening remotely, am currently away from home. (I use Original Quality only).

Thanks

I see from your diagnostics that your server logs are reporting the playlist stopped updating:

2023/03/15 21:28:24.711047 [HLS] Couldn't generate stream playlist for ch6073-dTVE-Hulu-798b04472f4e: Playlist has not been updated in 20.5369754s

I also see other problems:

2023/03/15 20:35:06.122375 [TNR] Error during live stream for ch6073 FNC: failed after 33.4457012s: hls: temporary failure while downloading: hls: timeout while waiting for data

that sound like you're having problems reaching the CDN.

Troubleshooting on your DVR reports:

2023/03/15 21:34:58.497778 [TRS] DNS: WARNING: Using public DNS resolver from "Cloudflare, Inc." can cause problems with TV Everywhere

Changing the DNS on your DVR to be the DNS servers provided by your ISP may yield better results.

So from what you see, changing the DNS servers to my ISP may likely fix the issue? I am (and always have) use Cloudflare. For both the server side and remote receiving end. Server side is fiber. Receiving side is Starlink at the moment.

I can't change the server side until I get back to town but do I need to be on the ISP dns for both sides for the best results with Channels DVR??? Even receiving end?

Thanks @eric

Yes, it will likely help. I suspect the issue is that you’re being sent to the wrong CDN location.

The DVR side is the important part.
