Fox TVE 6002 not working

If you go to C:\ProgramData\ChannelsDVR, you can just rename whatever version folder you want to latest. Of course, stop the server first, remove/rename the current latest folder, then do the rename for the the one you want, and finally restart the server. Otherwise, it's exactly the same process!

It appears as if FOX is no longer included in the channels that are scanned

2025/07/31 19:04:53.656559 [TVE] Channel scan 1/151 ABC successful
2025/07/31 19:04:53.799993 [TVE] Channel scan 2/151 ABC-WNEP successful
2025/07/31 19:04:55.237147 [TVE] Channel scan 3/151 CBS successful
2025/07/31 19:04:55.272824 [TVE] Channel scan 4/151 CSPAN failed:

You scan for the local networks by toggling (uncheck, then check) this setting in your Channels DVR web admin UI
Settings > Advanced > Experimental > Local Networks via TV Everywhere

When you check the box again to scan, It will prompt you to connect securely (Try again over HTTPS here or here) so click one of the here links and then check the box again.

It will then ask to allow your browser to provide location information
Capture
and you will see a spinner as it scans

I thought FOX (and NBC) have been dead for a long while. The New York FOX was the last one standing. It may be still going but I haven't checked lately? When NFL starts back up I will check for myself.

Only one community user reports it's still working

And not sure how he runs root DNS servers locally

NBC has been long dead (removed because of DRM)

I that like a VPN or something completely different?

Any possibility of using the new Fox website to bring back channel 6002?

ChannelsDVR uses TVE which is different than the Fox One app. Nothing has changed on the TVE front sadly.

I'm not talking about an app. I'm talking about the FOX website streaming live.

I'm still having issues with Fox Local KTVU. I've ensured that location can be seen for foxsports.com and fox.com domains; I've ticked on and off TVE in Advanced. Console log shows: 2025/09/01 22:45:24.615759 [TVE] action=fox_station err=not available

Not derailing: One caveat: I also fixed Chrome Capture to stream NBC by downgrading to Chrome 138.

Could Chrome Capture be used to fix the FOX streaming issues like folks have done with NBC? @babsonnexus' learnings are here: Chrome Capture for Channels - #89 by babsonnexus

I don't think FOX TVE 6002 is working for anyone.
I'm sure there are workarounds using other projects.
I can work around it using my HDHR Prime tuner and Channels DVR until I kill my Xfinity cable sub.

But, this topic is about Channels DVR Fox TVE channel 6002.
There are other topics discussing the other projects, where they should be discussed instead of derailing this one.

So far, it appears the Channels devs can't or don't want to resurrect Channels DVR Fox TVE channel 6002, based on no replies on the subject. This has been the slowest dying local TVE channel (hasn't been killed yet, like NBC and PBS).

Appreciate that. Not trying to derail as I’d love to see progress with TVE. Not sure why it doesn’t even show up in the GUI to rescan. It sucks that console shows Fox as not available when FS1 loads in the tuner.

You have to toggle the Experimental setting to rescan the TVE locals

FS1 and FS2 come from foxsports.com, not fox.com
fox.com has redesigned their website (since launching Fox One) and now allows you to stream your local station there when you select your provider. That has been broken in Channels for awhile.
The Channels developers have not updated Channels DVR to use that yet.

I’ve done the uncheck and check, but I recall that I used to be able to see that certain channels would be faded if they were unavailable. Perhaps my memory is failing me, but it’s disappointing that FOX local is still broken.

I’d love to hear any positive progress from the team if they’re willing to share.

Football season is here, and FOX is a key station many folks need.

Yes, they appear in the Rescan menu with an error message. But not the locals. If any locals fail to scan, they don't even appear there. Note mine is missing 6002.

The only indication I see is from the DVR log after I toggle the Experimental setting to scan locals.

I get that with both Xfinity and YTTV as providers in Channels DVR, although both providers work to stream my local Fox station on the new fox.com website

I'm sure lots of users would.
So far, the developers have been silent about the subject (unless it was in a Topic I don't read).

Fox TVE 6002 is back with the latest pre-release, but it doesn't play for me.

I can watch my local Fox station at FOX One using both Xfinity and YTTV providers.

It will work if you set up a separate source for it following the post that I referenced here:

Obviously not TVE, but it does work to stream your local channel. And of course it will crap out from time to time I imagine so I setup a test recording of my local news every morning to make sure it's still working. If it doesn't I'll log back in with my provider and grab the latest link. Hopefully it'll continue to work.

You're talking about grabbing an m3u8 link for a custom m3u channel and I'm talking about Channels DVR TVE Fox channel 6002. Definitely different things.
