Fox TVE 6002 not working

Seems to have lost WNYW local NYC Fox on TVE after update to 7/22/25 release..... Amy way to downgrade??

If you are on linux you can just change the symlink in the /channels-dvr directory to point to an earlier build. See my screenshot below, you just change the latest simlink dir to one of the date folders above. Then restart the server.
I dont use Windows so if that is your OS, i cant help you.

Same for me, no more WNYW in the channel list.

I'm on Windows.

I just logged in to fox.com with my DirecTV credentials and I don't see any links to watch live TV.

I'm wondering if it's related to their upcoming FOX One service: Fox One - stream all your favorite news, sports, and entertainment

I logged in to the Fox local app and can go straight to the WNYW feed So at least thats available for now

Live News Stream: Watch FOX 5 New York This works BUT when added to CC4C it does not go full screen etc

What kind of weird setups do you people have? Fox 5 NY has always worked, has never gone down, nor has it ever disappeared in the close to 10 years (I think close 10 years now or whatever it’s been).

Latest pre-release, simple mac M1 setup, no weird 36 docker setups or whatever nonsense.

Only difference I have is that I run my own recursive dns servers. No dns query leaves my network.

This is fox a few minutes ago.

2025/07/24 10:52:35.745958 [TVE] stream timestamps: fox: start_at=2025-07-24T10:51:35-04:00 end_at=2025-07-24T10:52:04-04:00 live_delay=27.271954s
2025/07/24 10:52:35.746397 [TNR] Opened connection to TVE-Verizon for ch6002 WNYW

Good for you.

I don't have a weird setup. Just running the Windows version of Channels DVR server.

WNYW has been pretty much rock solid all this time for me. Not anymore.

Thank you for confirming that the TVE link still works.

Maybe I'll try to rescan and hope for the best.

Don't hold your breath on that FOX TVE signal. You'll have better luck with an antenna or using a HDMI encoder or a cablecard tuner (if you have a provider that still provides a cablecard).

I agree. My next step is to try an antenna. I'm in an area now where it should work. :slightly_smiling_face:

If you go to C:\ProgramData\ChannelsDVR, you can just rename whatever version folder you want to latest. Of course, stop the server first, remove/rename the current latest folder, then do the rename for the the one you want, and finally restart the server. Otherwise, it's exactly the same process!

It appears as if FOX is no longer included in the channels that are scanned

2025/07/31 19:04:53.656559 [TVE] Channel scan 1/151 ABC successful
2025/07/31 19:04:53.799993 [TVE] Channel scan 2/151 ABC-WNEP successful
2025/07/31 19:04:55.237147 [TVE] Channel scan 3/151 CBS successful
2025/07/31 19:04:55.272824 [TVE] Channel scan 4/151 CSPAN failed:

You scan for the local networks by toggling (uncheck, then check) this setting in your Channels DVR web admin UI
Settings > Advanced > Experimental > Local Networks via TV Everywhere

When you check the box again to scan, It will prompt you to connect securely (Try again over HTTPS here or here) so click one of the here links and then check the box again.

It will then ask to allow your browser to provide location information
Capture
and you will see a spinner as it scans

I thought FOX (and NBC) have been dead for a long while. The New York FOX was the last one standing. It may be still going but I haven't checked lately? When NFL starts back up I will check for myself.

Only one community user reports it's still working

And not sure how he runs root DNS servers locally

NBC has been long dead (removed because of DRM)

I that like a VPN or something completely different?

Any possibility of using the new Fox website to bring back channel 6002?

ChannelsDVR uses TVE which is different than the Fox One app. Nothing has changed on the TVE front sadly.

I'm not talking about an app. I'm talking about the FOX website streaming live.
