FR: Ability to temporarily pause all recording

Hello;

I would love to have a feature to temporarily disable all recording activity.

The use case is I have a vacation spot with pretty much zero Internet connectivity.
I have a Synology NAS at home, and gigE connectivity and am recording muti-terabytes worth of content with the plan to take the NAS to the vacation home to watch the content.

Ideally I would love to be able to tell the DVR to stand down and only play content, not record anything new while in terrible coverage areas.

This would also come in handy for upgrading the software and rebooting the system.
I have so many recordings running I don't have an open window to upgrade.

I haven’t tried this, but can you disable the DVR, but then add your DVR storage location as local content?

I wish recording could continue after pause. Sometimes my recording is interrupted because internet is down, when internet is up again DVR should reconnect, continue recording and merge two files but it's not working currently that way
