Currently, Channels DVR appears to randomly generate TV show episode thumbnails from frame captures of the recorded TV show. The issue is that these frame captures may include images from commercials, not the TV show itself.
Since users can enable commercial detection with Channels, this feature request is to limit thumbnails generation to only TV show content. While commercial detection isn't perfect, I would expect this feature to significantly improve the quality of generated episode thumbs.
Additionally, it would be great to have a way to regenerate thumbs globally for all previously recorded shows after this feature is enabled.
