ok got the network figured out and reinstalled the plugin
i am running the freenas on a vm on esxi server and i have to turn promiscuous mode on on the vswitch (https://forums.freenas.org/index.php?threads/jail-cant-ping-gateway.11408/) so made progress and i now have a setup.log
