I just subscribed to the dvr and installed the freenas plugin and the service will not start.
What version of FreeNAS?
Do you see an error message of some sort? Can you screenshot?
no error message i just click to turn it on and it doesn’t start

do i need to make a sym link or edit some file to point it to the correct directory ?
It looks like the installation might have failed. What version of FreeNAS are you using?
Run “ls -alh /mnt/data/jails/customplugin_1/usr/pbi/channels-dvr-amd64/channels-dvr”
Also run:
ls -alh /mnt/data/jails/customplugin_1/usr/pbi/channels-dvr-amd64
cat /mnt/data/jails/customplugin_1/usr/pbi/channels-dvr-amd64/setup.log
i did find that the setup.sh was zero should i do the wget comand i saw from a earlier post?
Yea, what does it say when you do:
cd /tmp
wget -q -O setup.sh https://getchannels.com/dvr/setup.sh
Please tell me the version of FreeNAS that is running…

Okay, it’s been working fine for other users on 9.10.
Also it looks like the wget worked when you did it in /tmp?
Did you try removing the plugin/jail and reinstalling it? Could be a weird failure downloading the setup script last time.
yes i have reinstalled the plugin twice same error
should i just run the setup.sh to install the rest of it?
as there is no setup.log file
I would like to see the output of this command:
ls -alh /mnt/data/jails/customplugin_1/usr/pbi/channels-dvr-amd64
[root@freenas /mnt/data/jails/customplugin_1/usr/pbi]# ls -alh /mnt/data/jails/c

i did the wget earlier in this directory as the setup.sh was zero
I see. This means the wget is broken when run from inside the jail. If that’s the case, it’s going to cause other problems later, so running the setup.sh by hand is not recommended.
Can you go the customplugin_1 jail in the FreeNAS interface and connect a console into it, then try running the same wget command to see what it says. You can remove the -q to make sure it prints out any errors.
when i try that it will not ping out or anything

The jail is supposed to be created with its own IP address…
Check ifconfig -a in the jail? I’m not really sure why it would be missing network connectivity. I only have very basic experience with FreeNAS, and when I set it up to test jails were created with separate IPs automatically.
