Freezing after changing channels

Hey all,

I just want to say that I love the app but I am having an issue where the channel freezes a moment after changing channels. I see the spinning progress circle for a moment after changing the channel and then nothing. The picture is frozen. This happens probably 7 out of 10 times I change channels. Most times I can clear it up if I change to another channel and change back.

I have rebooted the Apple TV, the homerun connect and the app. I also upgraded the firmware on the connect.

Wonder if anybody else has experienced this? According to the homerun I have 100% signal strength and quality. I have both devices connected via Ethernet.

Appreciate the assistance.

Edit: as a test, I don’t get the freezing issue when simultaneously streaming via VLC to my iPad.

That’s weird… what hdhomerun model and tv provider? Are you in the US or intl?

Can you try the free “instatv pro” app on your ATV to compare?

I don’t get the same type of freezing on InstaTV. I’ve changed out the antenna coax but it doesn’t seem to have cleared it up.

The picture is beautiful and I don’t see signal strength problems. It’s almost like it starts buffering for a moment after I change channels but then doesn’t restart. It’s also not always the same channels. Seems fairy random. Seeing the issue on SD and HD channels.

I am running from ATV to Vizio Sound bar to Vizio TV

Just occurred in the beta. Logs sent. Homerun said 100% signal strength with 78% signal quality. Not sure if there is a minimum or recommended threshold that has to be met.
