Thanks! The macroblocking was a minor issue with the CP hardware decode since it lasted only until the next I-frame after a retune. The CP devs may have since cleaned that up, since I'm not seeing it now. I was ignoring the local ATSC3 lighthouse until signal quality fell on the ATSC CBS affiliate it repeats, maybe due to its 35 mile distance, wind, developing Spring foliage loss, or ongoing maintenance. When I switched to hardware decode, the ATSC NBC station began pixellating on fast motion or image changes, even at 100% signal quality. ABC, NBC, and FOX are also dup'd in ATSC3 on the lighthouse, so I may switch to hardware decoding depending on how it handles PBS, which is only available here in ATSC. We watch a lot of PBS, so thanks for the suggestion.
