That would be great to test out when ya have a chance. I’ve just been keeping FDL for now with ADB Tuner and has been rock solid! Thanks!
Would love to see cycling added to the sports section. I’m hoping to watch Tour de France.
Or maybe cycling isn’t available to scrape?
If it’s on Apple, we got it. Do you know who carries it?
NBC / Peacock in US. But it all happens in July.
I just don’t see cycling as a sport in FDLs filters.
I’m happy to test / view other cycling. HBO has some races. And some other service called FloBikes (which I probably wouldn’t pay for but others might want)
Last night and tonight there’s been one NBA games only on Peacock. For some reason I’m seeing these listed on Amazon Prime. Tonight’s is 76ers vs Celtics.
The event viewer shows the correct link being selected and if I click on it in the event viewer Peacock opens to the game.
But I don’t see the game in the custom channels for Peacock. Maybe I don’t understand how to refresh the custom channels.
If I edit the FDL filters, save them, then “apply filters now” do I have to do anything else to get them love in ADBTuner?
I’ve been hitting the “skip scrape” button and then going to the CDVR sources page and for the relevant ADBTuner channels reloading the M3U and redownloading the XMLTV. (Essentially mashing all the controls).is that enough (too much?) to update the guide?
I think you're doing everything right.
When you say custom channels for Peacock- is that a ADB output? Walk me through your setup so I can understand if I have a bug, or we just have a misunderstanding of the issue here.
How do you have priorities for which streaming service to use set in FDL?
It's a custom ADBTuner setup created by project one click. I have one for each service.
Here's tonight's event
And the detail:
and to confirm - when you say "Last night and tonight there’s been one NBA games only on Peacock. For some reason I’m seeing these listed on Amazon Prime. Tonight’s is 76ers vs Celtics." -- where exactly do you show them listed on Amazon Prime?
Both last night and tonight I saw the game listed in one of the custom channels created for the Prime service.
As an attempt to fix that tonight I tried deselecting the Amazon Peacock option in FDL filter. That had the effect of removing it from Prime but it still didn’t show in the Peacock channels.
How many Peacock lanes did you configure? Too few and you'll miss events.
I’ve had 5 lanes configured for Peacock and all of the lanes showed “idle” for the relevant time periods.
But your question @bnhf spurred me to review the ADBTuner page of FDL where I noticed I had configured it for 10 lanes. I recreated the Peacock custom channels (very easy with project one click) this time with 10 lanes and can now see a Peacock NBA game scheduled a couple days from now.
If I’m understanding what happened here it seems the ADBTuner page on FDL governs how many lanes will be used to layout the programming and if you want access to all that programming you need to create at least that many lanes in your ADBTuner custom channel source. Let me know if this understanding is correct or not and my apologies if my terms aren’t quite right.
@bnhf @KineticMan Thanks so much for these projects and all the support. I’m really appreciating FDL, OliveTin and Project One Click
Yes, you're right
For bigger streaming services (ie. Peacock, MAX, Paramount, VIX), I typically recommend about 10-20 lanes. Peacock has a lot of rights in their hands so 5 lanes is too small.
My plan was to disable the sports I don't watch (more than half) so it didn't seem like there'd be that many events to accommodate. But yeah...if too few lanes is an issue why not have a bunch. I was using fewer lanes to make the visual guide more manageable.
This leads into another question I have about search results for NBA games in FDL and YouTubeTV (with guide data from Xfinity) show up differently.
When I do a general search for "NBA" in the CDVR web client I see a bunch of results. One is NBA Basketball and clicking on it returns a list of all YouTubeTV results which are all games I'm interested in. None of the FDL games show in this list.
Also in the general search results are individual NBA games that include the Prime games and others from FDL.
I'm wondering if there's a way to get all NBA games to show in a single search or Season Pass.
Results for NBA with icon circled that has all NBA games on from YouTubeTV guide data:
Same search results with individual games only on Prime via FDL that aren't included in NBA Basketball icon above.
Thats becuase theres different sources of guide data being used. "NBA Basketball" is from Gracenote and those individual NBA games are from FDL.
For stuff like this, I recommend using Channels collections and advanced passes for stuff like this
I use Channels Collection to set up a collection similar to this
Cool. Will check that out.
Has anyone been able to get Prime Video FDL working on Android TV without going the ADBtuner route. I cannot get them launch on my Google TV Streamer and Nvidia Shield. FDL work for other providers. Thanks.
FWIW I believe it fires on Fire sticks. If there’s a new schema to call for Android TV, I’m sure I could add it. I don’t personally have a device to test with.
I will happily test it if anyone can provide it.
