FruitDeepLinks — Universal Sports Aggregator for Channels DVR

try 2.2.6 i just pushed..

also for your filters bug -- you may want to consider doing a DB Wipe. It won't break any of your filters, but will get rid of that old stale watch for free.

Checked again after DB wipe and guide refresh and they show up, but the ESPN services are missing from event inspector. You can see the events in all services but can't filter by ESPN there because they're not in the dropdown. I see that you broke them out like Amazon.

I just checked Cubs vs. D'backs playing now and it's getting the MLB.TV feed again, not the Unlimited. So back to the original problem before Spanish took over. I have that disabled in ESPN services but the event detail says it's top of list to pick. But the Unlimited link in the list of playables is still the Spanish feed, so even if it picked Unlimited it's still wrong.

perfect - i finally see what it's doing... gonna take some work to refactor this, but at least i got a grasp on it now. tnx for reporting.

v2.2.8

  • Fixed ESPN events showing the wrong entitlement (e.g. generic "ESPN+" label when it was actually ESPN Unlimited or another plan)
  • ESPN games with separate home/away broadcasts (common on MLB) now show as distinct channels instead of duplicate, indistinguishable entries — e.g. "ESPN Unlimited (Cubs Broadcast)" vs "ESPN Unlimited (Reds Broadcast)"
  • Split ambiguous ESPN playables so each entitlement option shows up as its own correct choice instead of collapsing together
  • Fixed Spanish-language ESPN events being misclassified — now uses ESPN's own language data instead of guessing
  • Event Inspector: fixed the provider dropdown missing ESPN services, removed the (no longer useful) Free/Premium filter
  • Cleaned up pipeline's internal cleanup/progress-tracking steps (backend only, no user-facing change)

Getting closer, I see all the possible playables for MLB in ESPN Unlimited now! 2 English and 1 Spanish, before only the Spanish Unlimited showed up.

But it's still picking the ESPN MLB.TV instead of Unlimited, boo. Kind of strange since I have ESPN MLB.TV toggled off.

Take a look at this one, kind of weird. NFL preseason game that was categorized as Amazon - Unknown but it also shows up as ESPN Unlimited:

appletv-umc.cse.32xuie2q6sc22t3204swdrt7u

There's quite a few Amazon Unknown events showing (92), a significant percentage of the total. But when I look at the filter page it says 92 events, when I go into inspector for Unknown it only shows 10 events (the dropdown also says 92 but returned results are 10). Think something is out whack between what filters say and what inspector returns. But I wonder why these are Unknown, you'd think NFL would be in the data.

you're killin me smalls

do you have "Show Every Source as a Separate Channel" enabled?

no

But I just want it to filter off of MLB.TV and don't care which English broadcast I get.

humor me and turn that on please and rescape

also are you on 2.2.9? pushed a few small updates

Yeah 2.2.9. OK did that, still seeing the upcoming Reds vs. Cubs game as ESPN MLB.TV feed, Refreshed and checked Channels guide to make sure.

"(MLB) - Cincinnati Reds vs Chicago Cubs - Available on ESPN (MLB.TV feed)"

to confirm , you DONT want to see espn (mlb.tv)?

Correct. I was just showing that it was filtered to the top even though I didn't ask for it.

This is the bug that you fixed a week or so before, but the side effect was that only the Spanish Unlimited broadcast showed up after that.

Tl;dr;lol just ditch MLB.TV and Spanish.

2.2.10 pushed. this is the one - i'm 90% sure.

Success!! Picking the correct MLB Unlimited link now, first English feed. The event counts for ESPN don't match the actual event counts in inspector, same issue as for Amazon. Not a big deal.

i'll take the win! now stop giving me work

New version 2.3.0 pushed

  • FruitDeepLinks now supports team-level filtering: choose a sport and league, then either show only games involving selected teams or exclude specific teams. It uses Apple TV’s structured team data for accurate matching, avoids nickname collisions, and can optionally keep general programming like pregame shows. Your team rules apply consistently across direct channels, virtual lanes, and ADB provider lanes. @JefferMC with the cool idea!

Would this filtering scheme be a possibility for ESPN4CC4C as well? I'm sticking with this container for my ESPN+ content (w/ ADBTuner) but wouldn't mind filtering out some events by team.
Thanks!

This has been working good since I started using it to watch & record ESPN+ games.

For whatever unknown reason, it's no longer picking up one of the teams I follow. I’ve checked event inspector and it doesn’t show the game. It’s definitely on ESPN+ because it shows in the ESPN app for 7:00 pm tonight. I’ve deleted, rescraped but never shows.
Event is Louisiana vs Lamar on ESPN+

Here's screenshots of filters. What else can I do?

I don’t see it either on the event inspector search.
To be fair, the scraper isn’t 100% perfect. It grabs the events 20 at a time and it’s all dependent on Apple presenting them to us.

I know it’s a big schedule for college today so maybe I can make it search more. I’ll hop on and see if I can patch anything to get that game.

One thing I did note in the Channels DVR guide is that there are no games starting after 6:00 pm CT. I don’t know if that means anything but I would expect some games in Prime Time.

Might be worth forcing another scrape now?
